
Head of Internal Audit (11 countries)
The Internal Audit function will manage audit assignments within the country and the region, ensure full understanding of the business and control risks of the country by participating to management and update meetings, and carry out selected reviews or special investigations
Resposibilities:
- Manage Internal Audit Team (4 subordinates).
- Act as a primary point of contact for Audit within the market and represent the region. Ensure alignment with Internal Audit and regional methodologies and tools.
- Oversight and execution of regional and local audits to support the executing audit team to assess controls over business units or processes designated for internal audits. Planning of audits to include key operational data and scope areas as defined by risk assessment and Operational Audit Manual.
- Ensure communication of audit results is clear and concise, through effective audit reporting. (Risk Materialisation, Trends, Root Cause and Context.
- Follow-up process to report implementation status for audits performed in the region.
- In line with regional standards, update management committee members on key business risks and internal control gaps.
- Coaching, Development and Retention of high potential talent through the audit function to ensure stable and high audit quality, balanced capabilities, as well as providing source of talent to the market.
- Coordinate special investigations as requested by local compliance committee, in agreement with region.
- Evaluate market specific risks and suggest audit planning
- Keep updated about new guidelines and instructions published by Institute of Internal Auditors, COSO, etc. and identify impacts on the organization
Key Experiences:
- Academic Background (MSc and MBA or ACCA/CFE/CIA/CPA/CFA/CISA preferred)
- Proficiency in English (written and oral) and Russian. Other region language isa plus.
- Min. 5 years of experience required, with management experience, in auditing with international auditing/accounting firm or large FMCG corporation.
- Demonstrated business understanding through hands-on experience at one or several career steps including Internal or External Audit, Corporate Finance, Controlling, or other Finance and Control leadership position where leadership of a team has been demonstrated.
- Knowledge of key business risks and control considerations for a fast-paced consumer goods industry.
- Developed Analytical / Structural thinking skills
- Strong collaborative skills to enable delivery of negative news while still building partnership with business leaders to address identified internal control weaknesses.
- Ability to understand individual issues within the context of the larger organizational strategies. Able to direct teams to dig deeper in appropriate areas before impact of major risks is felt by the organization.
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate and drive performance in a team environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and diplomacy skills
- High-level of personal integrity, ability to retain independence of the audit function vs. the business.
- Detail oriented and able to focus on delivery of high-quality work products.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Passion to drive continuous improvement within the business and within the audit function.
