Patient advocacy manager
As a Patient advocacy manager, you will be responsible for supporting communications with PAGs and internally with cross-functional team, coordinate external event activities and projects. Reporting to the Patient advocacy Lead you will:
· Proactively manage our patient advocacy group relationships with our advocacy partners: maintain two-way dialogue with patient advocacy groups to understand and identify specific unmet needs, represent Company voice to the community.
· Working as part of cross-functional teams, define and implement multi-year initiatives and programs that engage and align patient groups in support of patient education, engagement and reform of health system policies that improve patients’ access to timely and appropriate treatment.
· Serve as a center of excellence for the Patient Advocacy function. Provide expert counsel to colleagues.
· Deliver impactful disease awareness campaigns and external events across a range of therapy areas aligned to strategic aims.
· Prepare presentations and positions papers to increase and strength Patient Advocacy impact inside our Company.
· Handle reconciliation reports and other metrics identified for planned and ad-hoc funding to partners.
· Coordinate sponsorship and donation requests.
· Responsible for document management and monitoring process
· Ensure compliance across all functions
· Maintain the highest standards of patient care, focusing on ethical conduct and company values.
· Undergo training and keep teams up to date on both internal and external policies and best practices to ensure appropriate interactions with patient organizations and independent patient advocates.
· Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Capabilities
· Minimum of 3- 5 years of related experience in Patient Advocacy within structured pharmaceutical companies.
· Understanding of patient advocacy groups aims and objectives.
· Knowledge of the national political and health context
· Proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns and events involving patients and patient groups.
· Business acumen and an understanding of the aims and objectives of the pharmaceutical industry
· Excellentwritten skills, including enhanced presentation skills.
· Management skills: ability to coordinate project teams involving cross-functional interaction and interaction with vendors and external stakeholders
· Problem solving – ability to resolve conflict and deal with a wide range of complex problems independently
· High ethical standards and an appreciation of local compliance requirements
· Fluent English
