Business development manager

This position is based Moscow or Nizhny Novgorod and contributes to M&A and BD&L projects in the territory of Russia and CIS countries. In this role, you will get exposure to all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry and work closely with our Senior Management whilst you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and act as an entrepreneur within our organization.

Key responsibilities:

1. Assessment of companies and products incl. prioritizing M&A and BD&L opportunities with the company’s strategy

2. Lead M&A and BD&L projects in Russia and CIS region:

  • Proactive scouting for M&A targets and dossiers for IL opportunities aligned with company’s strategy
  • Coordination of cross-functional company work streams and external advisers starting from Due Diligence (DD) phase through preparation to signing and until hypercare period is over
  • Financial modelling
  • Final evaluation of M&A or BD&L opportunities with respective recommendation to Management Board
  • Contract negotiations
  • Drafting of indicative and binding offers, contribution to deal agreements drafting
  • Integration of acquired companies/products

Experience:

Ideally experience in:

  • Financial modelling (DCF, break-even, NPV, IRR)
  • Acquisition or in/out-licensing of pharmaceutical companies or products, noticable track record of signed transactions
  • Project management of large and complex transactions
  • Negotiations with international companies

Qualifications and skills:

  • University degree (preferably in finance or economics)
  • English language on upper-intermediate level or higher to conduct negotiations with partners
  • Strong negotiator
  • Affinity for figures and comprehension of financials
  • High analytical and conceptual skills combined with entrepreneurial mentality
  • Affinity for legal matters
  • Helicopter view on regulatory, quality, manufacturing, procurement, commercial issues
  • High resilience and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
