Market Intelligence Analyst
Summary of Job Duties:
1. Develop, implement and maintain databases for primary and secondary data
2. Perform data analysis on the data to find patterns & trends and create conclusions for the organization that can help them on critical strategic decision making
3. Present insights and results in forms of professional reports with the help of data visualisation tools
4. The market intelligence analyst will require creating insight or reports on:
· Lamipak’s business environment
· Our customer’s business environment
· End consumer market
Main Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Analysis
· Analyse potential markets and product gaps across the company's new and existing portfolio along with value added products.
· Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition.
· Work with the aim to automate and/or develop self-service reporting for the leadership teams by consistently managing the data flow from various sources, including internal/external data sets.
· Demonstrate the ability to articulate and present key actionable market and competitor insights to the management team using modern visualisation tools.
· Monitor costs and key material fluctuations inclusive of internal/external factors and logistics.
· Build strong working relation with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally.
2. Account Based Market Analysis
· Support the regional marketing head to perform research on high-value accounts to get a good snapshot of customer in the following:
· Customer’s historical milestones and current business performance
· Customer’s entire brand, sub-brands and product portfolio
· Analysis on customer’s entire org chart and the names/people seated in those positions. Identify areas of the org chart where we still need to penetrate.
· Customer’s future strategy and direction
· Customer’s current business needs and pain points
· Where they are in the customer journey
· Identify opportunities for sales & marketing to pursue
3. Marketing Support Service – Market Research Support
· Conducting research analysis and prepare customized and montly reports on:
- Category – Juice, RTD Tea, Plant-based Dairy, Yoghurt
- Consumer Insights
- Market Overview
· Category trends
· Price
· Sales Channels
· Competitive Landscape
· Prospects & Opportunities
· Designing and implementing market and consumer surveys.
· Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data.
· Preparing detailed reports on consumer behavior, competitors' activities, outcomes, and sales.
· Monitoring customer bases and identifying new ones.
· Forecasting future market, consumer, and sales trends.
· Working with the customer’s marketing team to inform and develop marketing strategies.
· Monitoring the efficacy of marketing trends through analytical tools and software.
· Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, market trends, and consumer behavior.
Qualifications
1. BSc plus MBA in a Marketing Statistics or Economic field.
2. Has B2C marketing experience (bonus if they also have B2B), but more important the beverage industry. It is an added bonus if they have packaging industry experience.
3. Over 5 years of relevant work experience across market & business intelligence covering relevant topics such as consumer and category insights, financial structuring, pricing, and competitive analysis.
4. Excellent mathematics skills.
5. Outstanding analytical insights.
6. Experience with research databases (Mintel, Euro monitor, Statista, Nielsen).
7. Excellent presentation skills.
8. Strong curiosity with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
9. Strong problem solving in being able to find the data needed to complete the task.
