Sales & Marketing Director

Purpose of the job

Orchestrate success of the sales team to ensure sales and marketing targets are achieved in all geographical areas of our presence (Russia, Kazakhstan, and Byelorussia). Strengthen positive image of the company through building and developing partnership with our Key Accounts.

The position place within the structure

The role will report to the Managing Director and have the following team in subordination: 4 – Sales Managers, Marketing Specialist, Back Office Specialist.


Team Management (50%):

Focus on team management towards developing self-steering attitude so that each sales manager is independent in acting and achieving result within approved budget based on regional development plan.

Recruiting, adaptation of new talents, develop their skills and loyalty by coaching and mentoring their daily activities.

Run regular assessment sessions to ensure employees’ loyalty and satisfaction.

Sales / Marketing Management (40%):

Manage sales and marketing activities of the team to ensure sales targets are achieved.

Approve strategies for product development and territory expansion.

Develop and manage sales channels (distributors, Key Accounts, agents) to ensure optimal expansion and minimize the risks.

Strengthen image of the company, brands, and customer loyalty by managing marketing activities.

Management Team Activities (10%):

Participate in Setting and following up long term and short-term strategies and objectives.

Candidate profile

Should have a clear structured approach towards sales development and strategic sales, using proven tools and instrument pushing the boundaries and initiate discussion, sharing best practices, being inquisitive and curious in finding new solutions and approaches, not afraid to test and take responsibility of new ways of working.

Should be technologically knowledgeable with regards to digital marketing and sales tools and understand how technology might help and support our business challenges.

Having prior knowledge and experience in seed potato industry is not needed, yet regarded as a plus, however initial preference would go to a candidate outside the industry but who has a general understanding of agriculture.
